Carrier’s Sensitech Launches Real-Time Global Cold Chain Monitoring Solution

Sensitech, part of Carrier Global (NYSE: CARR), announced Tuesday the commercial launch of TempTale GEO APX Global, a real-time monitoring solution designed to track perishable food shipments across ocean, road and rail transportation.

The system continuously monitors temperature, humidity, light and shipment location, automatically transmitting information to Sensitech’s SensiWatch Platform. Using global 4G LTE connectivity, the technology is designed to maintain visibility as logistics networks move away from legacy 2G and 3G cellular infrastructure.

Food shippers can receive real-time departure, arrival and exception alerts, allowing them to respond to temperature excursions or transportation disruptions before products are damaged. The platform can help operators reroute shipments, notify receivers or intervene when cold-chain conditions deteriorate.

TempTale GEO APX Global supports ambient, refrigerated and frozen products. The standard configuration can monitor refrigerated shipments for up to 60 days, while an extended version supports frozen and long-distance shipments for as long as 120 days.

The launch expands Carrier’s exposure to intelligent cold-chain logistics through Sensitech, complementing its broader climate and refrigeration businesses. Real-time monitoring can help food companies reduce spoilage and supply-chain losses while improving the efficiency and reliability of increasingly complex global distribution networks.
Carrier Launches New Energy-Efficient Modular Chillers in Japan

Carrier Global (NYSE: CARR) has launched new inverter modular water-cooled chillers and heat recovery chillers in Japan, expanding its portfolio of energy-efficient climate solutions for commercial and industrial facilities.

The new series builds on Carrier Japan’s Universal Smart X (USX) technology and uses inverter-driven DC triple rotary compressors with lower-global-warming-potential R32 refrigerant. The lightweight and compact design allows equipment to be transported through standard elevators, making the systems particularly suitable for renovation and retrofit projects where installation space can be limited.

Carrier also increased system flexibility and capacity. Individual modules range from 30 HP to 50 HP, while as many as 16 modules can be connected for capacity of up to 800 HP. The chillers support water temperatures between 3°C and 30°C, extending potential applications to industries including food and chemical processing.

The systems also incorporate PWM converters for harmonic suppression, modular refrigeration cycles for operational redundancy and easier maintenance, and optional variable-flow control to reduce pumping energy.

Customers using Carrier’s Abound HVAC Performance platform can additionally receive 24/7 remote monitoring, automatic detection of heat-exchanger fouling and operational alerts.

The launch strengthens Carrier’s position in energy-efficient HVAC infrastructure as buildings and industrial customers increasingly seek lower energy consumption, reduced environmental impact and easier installation and maintenance.
# Carrier Launches All-Electric Vector 8200 Refrigeration Unit for Diesel-Free Cold Storage

Carrier Global (NYSE: CARR) introduced the Vector 8200, its first engineless transport refrigeration unit with multi-temperature capability, expanding the company's electrification offering for the cold-chain industry.

The new Carrier Transicold system is designed primarily for stationary trailer cold storage and can operate entirely from grid electricity or other external power sources, eliminating diesel-fuel consumption and direct engine emissions.

## Why the Vector 8200 Matters for Carrier

The Vector 8200 targets food shippers and refrigerated fleets that need additional cold-storage capacity during seasonal demand peaks, facility upgrades or unexpected increases in volume.

Unlike traditional diesel-powered trailer refrigeration systems, the Vector 8200 can turn refrigerated trailers into temporary electric cold-storage facilities. Its multi-temperature configuration can support trailers with one, two or three compartments, allowing fresh, frozen and deep-frozen products to be stored simultaneously.

The system delivers cooling capacity of up to 58,000 BTU per hour at 35°F, 33,500 BTU per hour at 0°F and 22,000 BTU per hour at -20°F.

Carrier also integrated its TRU-Demand E-Drive energy-management technology, which adjusts electricity consumption according to available power and helps reduce strain on facilities when multiple refrigeration units restart following an outage.

## Carrier Expands Cold-Chain Electrification

The launch strengthens Carrier's position in transport refrigeration and cold-chain electrification as customers seek to reduce fuel consumption, emissions, noise and operating costs.

The Vector 8200 also integrates Carrier's Lynx Fleet telematics platform for remote monitoring and control, alongside temperature-recording and automated temperature-management technologies.

For Carrier, the product expands its addressable market for electric refrigeration while providing fleets with an alternative to diesel-powered supplemental cold storage.
Carrier Global Corporation reported first-quarter 2026 results with mixed top-line performance but strong order momentum, particularly in data center-related demand.

Net sales increased 2% year over year, while organic sales declined 1%. The company posted GAAP earnings per share of $0.28 and adjusted EPS of $0.57. Operating cash flow came in at $79 million, with free cash flow slightly negative at ($15) million.

Order intake remained a key highlight, with total company orders rising 11% and Commercial HVAC orders surging 35%, driven by data center orders that increased more than 500%. Carrier noted that its backlog now fully covers expected 2026 data center sales, signaling strong forward visibility.

During the quarter, the company returned approximately $500 million to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases and reaffirmed its full-year outlook, citing solid execution and continued strength in its Commercial HVAC segment.
