Carrier enhances building automation system with new energy compliance features
March 25, 2026 — Carrier announced upgrades to its i-Vu building automation system, adding new capabilities to support energy efficiency standards and regulatory compliance, particularly in California.
The system now includes support for ASHRAE Guideline 36 control sequences, providing standardized HVAC control strategies aimed at improving system performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort. Carrier has also achieved Title 24 JA18 certification, confirming compliance with California’s latest energy code requirements.
The updated solution supports a range of HVAC systems, including air handlers, fan coil units, and variable air volume systems, while offering secure, auditable control logic.
