Carrier Global Corporation reported first-quarter 2026 results with mixed top-line performance but strong order momentum, particularly in data center-related demand.

Net sales increased 2% year over year, while organic sales declined 1%. The company posted GAAP earnings per share of $0.28 and adjusted EPS of $0.57. Operating cash flow came in at $79 million, with free cash flow slightly negative at ($15) million.

Order intake remained a key highlight, with total company orders rising 11% and Commercial HVAC orders surging 35%, driven by data center orders that increased more than 500%. Carrier noted that its backlog now fully covers expected 2026 data center sales, signaling strong forward visibility.

During the quarter, the company returned approximately $500 million to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases and reaffirmed its full-year outlook, citing solid execution and continued strength in its Commercial HVAC segment.
