ASX:A2M

a2 Milk Company reported strong demand for its infant milk formula products in China but warned that supply chain disruptions will weigh on its FY2026 performance.

The company highlighted robust sales momentum across both China-label and English-label products, supported by marketing initiatives and competitor product recalls. However, temporary supply constraints—driven by freight disruptions, production backlogs, stricter quality testing, and customs delays—are expected to impact product availability, particularly in April and May.

As a result, a2 Milk downgraded its outlook, now expecting lower infant formula sales, reduced EBITDA margins of around 14.0%–14.5%, and weaker cash conversion. Despite near-term challenges, the company plans continued investment to support long-term growth and supply chain improvements.
The The a2 Milk Company Limited (NZX: ATM, ASX: A2M) announced it has reached an in-principle agreement to settle a shareholder class action related to its FY21 disclosures and guidance.

The company agreed to a settlement of AUD 62 million, covering interest and legal costs. The payment will be fully funded through insurance, meaning there will be no impact on FY26 earnings. The company also emphasized that the agreement does not constitute any admission of liability.

The settlement remains subject to formal documentation and court approval.

December 2025 on Monday 16 February 2026.
The a2 Milk Company upgraded its FY26 revenue guidance, citing stronger-than-expected trading across Infant Milk Formula, Other Nutritionals and Liquid Milk, along with favourable currency movements due to NZD depreciation. While the weaker currency is expected to lift both sales and expenses, the net impact on EBITDA after hedge losses is not expected to be material.

On a continuing operations basis, the company now expects low double-digit revenue growth in FY26 compared with FY25, with first-half growth running ahead of the second half. English-label IMF sales are expected to grow significantly faster than China-label IMF.

EBITDA margin is forecast at approximately 15 to 16 percent. Depreciation and amortisation are expected to be 20 to 24 million dollars, while interest income will be lower due to reduced market rates and net cash outflows. NPAT is projected to be slightly higher than FY25, with cash conversion of about 80 to 90 percent and capital expenditure of 60 to 80 million dollars.

FY25 continuing operations revenue was 1.757 billion dollars and FY25 reported NPAT was 203 million dollars.
