The The a2 Milk Company Limited (NZX: ATM, ASX: A2M) announced it has reached an in-principle agreement to settle a shareholder class action related to its FY21 disclosures and guidance.

The legal proceedings, initiated in 2021 and later consolidated in the Supreme Court of Victoria, represented investors who held shares between August 19, 2020, and May 9, 2021.

The company agreed to a settlement of AUD 62 million, covering interest and legal costs. The payment will be fully funded through insurance, meaning there will be no impact on FY26 earnings. The company also emphasized that the agreement does not constitute any admission of liability.

The settlement remains subject to formal documentation and court approval.
