CoreWeave Gains as JPMorgan Upgrades CRWV to Overweight, Raises Target to $125

CoreWeave (NASDAQ: CRWV) shares rose about 4% Thursday after JPMorgan upgraded the AI infrastructure company to Overweight from Neutral and raised its December 2027 price target to $125 from $120.

Analyst Samik Chatterjee cited strong demand for AI compute capacity, a favorable pricing environment and CoreWeave’s ability to secure short-term contracts at premium rates. Recent contracts have included terms of roughly three to six months, while higher compute pricing appears to be more than offsetting increased costs and supporting stronger contribution margins on new agreements. JPMorgan also pointed to pricing increases across the GPU compute market as evidence that demand remains tight (Blockspace).

The upgrade comes as CoreWeave continues to expand rapidly. Second-quarter revenue reached $2.58 billion, up 112% year over year, while backlog stood near $104 billion before including more than $25 billion of additional customer commitments secured early in the third quarter.

CoreWeave shares were trading around $90.29, up roughly 3.9%. JPMorgan’s new $125 target reflects expectations that strong AI infrastructure demand and improved pricing could continue to support revenue growth and margins.
