Navitas Semiconductor Surges 20% as NVIDIA AI Partnership Positions Company at the Center of Next-Generation Data Center Buildout

Navitas Semiconductor (NVTS) jumped 20% after announcing a collaboration with NVIDIA's MGX ecosystem to accelerate the development of next-generation 800V DC AI infrastructure, reinforcing investor enthusiasm for companies supplying critical technologies to the rapidly expanding AI data center market.

The company revealed that its advanced gallium nitride (GaN) power technology is being showcased within NVIDIA's AI Factory MGX ecosystem at COMPUTEX 2026. Navitas' new 800V-to-6V power delivery board is designed to eliminate traditional power conversion stages inside AI servers, significantly improving efficiency, power density, and thermal performance.

The announcement is particularly important because power delivery has emerged as one of the biggest bottlenecks in the AI industry. As AI models become larger and more computationally intensive, data centers require dramatically more electricity. Navitas' GaN and silicon carbide (SiC) technologies are designed to help solve that problem by enabling more efficient power conversion from the electrical grid all the way to AI processors.

Investors appear to be focusing on the strategic implications rather than the immediate revenue impact. Being selected as part of NVIDIA's MGX ecosystem strengthens Navitas' position within the AI infrastructure supply chain and increases the likelihood that its technologies could be adopted across future generations of AI servers and data centers. NVIDIA's MGX architecture is designed to support a broad ecosystem of hardware partners, potentially creating significant long-term opportunities for suppliers whose products become integrated into the platform.

The company's showcased power delivery board achieves approximately 97.5% peak efficiency, operates at 1 MHz switching frequency, and delivers extremely high power density. Management believes these capabilities are essential for supporting emerging megawatt-scale AI server racks and future gigawatt-scale AI factories.

Beyond server-level power systems, Navitas also highlighted opportunities for its SiC technologies in high-voltage grid infrastructure, solid-state transformers, and large-scale power supplies needed to support the growing electricity demands of AI data centers. This broad exposure allows the company to participate in multiple layers of the AI infrastructure buildout.

The sharp rally reflects growing investor confidence that Navitas could become a meaningful beneficiary of the global AI infrastructure boom. As hyperscale data center operators race to deploy increasingly powerful AI systems, demand for advanced power semiconductor solutions is expected to rise significantly, positioning Navitas at the intersection of two of the market's strongest themes: artificial intelligence and next-generation power electronics.
