Garmin's Autoland Debuts in Cirrus SR Series G7+, First Ever in Piston-Powered Aircraft

On May 7, 2025, Garmin announced that its certified Autoland system will now come standard in all Cirrus SR Series G7+ models—SR20, SR22, and SR22T—making them the first piston-powered aircraft equipped with Garmin’s Safe Return Emergency Autoland technology. This feature enables the aircraft to autonomously land in the event of pilot incapacitation, offering a new level of safety for general aviation.

The SR Series G7+ also includes Garmin’s GDL 60 datalink for automatic database updates and advanced cockpit connectivity, as well as Runway Occupancy Awareness (ROA) to prevent runway incursions. Garmin Health Summit 2025 to Take Place at the New York Stock Exchange

Garmin announced that its 2025 Garmin Health Summit will be held at the New York Stock Exchange on September 17-18, 2025. The event will spotlight innovations in digital health and wellness that utilize Garmin’s smartwatch and sensor technology.

For the first time in the Summit’s history, select attendees will participate in the NYSE’s prestigious closing bell ceremony. Garmin introduces Varia Vue: its first cycling headlight with built-in 4K camera

Garmin (NYSE: GRMN) has launched the Varia Vue, a new cycling accessory that combines a 600-lumen headlight with a front-facing 4K camera. Designed to enhance safety and visibility for cyclists, the Varia Vue automatically records and saves footage when it detects an incident.

According to Susan Lyman, Garmin’s Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing, "Varia Vue provides both increased safety and a record of your ride, giving cyclists confidence on the road."

Key features:

- 4K camera with incident detection: Records sharp, stabilized footage and saves video automatically if an incident is detected.
- Smart headlight: Offers five light modes and adjusts based on rider speed and lighting conditions when paired with compatible Garmin Edge cycling computers.

Garmin Launches In-House Marathon Series With Events in Toledo and Tucson

Garmin (NYSE: GRMN), a global leader in fitness technology, has announced the launch of the Garmin Marathon Series, a new road race experience fully owned and operated by the company. This initiative marks a significant step beyond traditional event sponsorships, as Garmin aims to directly engage with the running community.

The inaugural events will take place in Toledo, Ohio on September 21, 2025, and in Tucson, Arizona on November 15, 2025. Each event will feature four race distances: a USATF-certified full marathon (qualifying for the Boston Marathon), a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. Garmin Adds AIS Warning Messaging to Chartplotters for Enhanced Boating Safety
