Garmin Launches In-House Marathon Series With Events in Toledo and Tucson
Garmin (NYSE: GRMN), a global leader in fitness technology, has announced the launch of the Garmin Marathon Series, a new road race experience fully owned and operated by the company. This initiative marks a significant step beyond traditional event sponsorships, as Garmin aims to directly engage with the running community.
The inaugural events will take place in Toledo, Ohio on September 21, 2025, and in Tucson, Arizona on November 15, 2025. Each event will feature four race distances: a USATF-certified full marathon (qualifying for the Boston Marathon), a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. Races will be accompanied by a two-day expo and a post-race festival with food, entertainment, and community activities.
“This is an opportunity to go above and beyond conventional sponsorships and create something truly special in our running communities,” said Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing.
The marathon series is themed “Miles That Made You,” celebrating Garmin’s connection with runners throughout their training journeys. The events will showcase Garmin technology and products, offer exclusive race gear, and host appearances from Garmin-sponsored athletes.
Additional race locations are planned for 2026. Registration is now open for all distances in both Toledo and Tucson.
