Apple Music and Universal Music Group Launch Sound Therapy for Wellness

Apple Music and Universal Music Group (UMG) have partnered to introduce Sound Therapy, a curated audio wellness collection designed to enhance focus, relaxation, and sleep through the use of cognitive science and enhanced sound technologies.
What Is Sound Therapy?
Sound Therapy, available exclusively on Apple Music, blends familiar songs from global artists with scientifically tuned auditory elements such as gamma, theta, and delta brainwave beats, along with white and pink noise. These additions aim to stimulate mental clarity, calm, or deeper sleep without altering the original artistic vision.
Three Listening Categories:
• Focus: Incorporates gamma waves and white noise to support concentration and cognitive performance.
• Relax: Infused with theta waves to promote deep relaxation.
• Sleep: Uses delta waves and pink noise to help facilitate restful sleep.
Featured Artists:
The collection includes reimagined or instrumental versions of tracks by Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry, Ludovico Einaudi, Kacey Musgraves, AURORA, Jhené Aiko, Chelsea Cutler, and Jeremy Zucker.
Backed by Science:
The initiative is a product of Sollos, UMG’s London-based wellness venture. According to UMG’s EVP Michael Nash, this project represents a fusion of artistic innovation and science-led wellness solutions. Apple will collaborate with Sollos and UMG to explore further clinical validation of music’s impact on wellbeing.
