Rockwell Automation Adds NVIDIA Nemotron Support to FactoryTalk Conductor for Industrial AI

Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK) announced support for NVIDIA Nemotron open models within FactoryTalk Conductor, expanding deployment options for manufacturers adopting AI across industrial engineering and automation workflows.

FactoryTalk Conductor is Rockwell’s AI-native orchestration platform, designed to let users initiate engineering tasks through natural-language interactions while coordinating the software, AI capabilities and workflows required to complete them.

Support for NVIDIA Nemotron gives manufacturers another option for running AI with greater control over infrastructure, model management and data governance. Rockwell said the open-model approach can help companies keep engineering and production data within their own environments while still using Rockwell-verified agents and skills.

The integration is aimed at manufacturers that want to scale AI without giving up control over sensitive operational data or becoming dependent on a single deployment model. Rockwell also highlighted potential benefits around infrastructure cost management, governance and security.

FactoryTalk Conductor is designed to combine AI orchestration with domain-specific industrial agents, allowing manufacturers to automate increasingly complex engineering activities while keeping engineers responsible for validation, oversight and critical decisions.

Rockwell said the longer-term goal is to move toward more agent-driven engineering workflows in which AI agents can execute tasks across multiple industrial software environments.

The announcement deepens the relationship between industrial automation software and NVIDIA’s AI model ecosystem, while giving Rockwell customers another path to deploy generative and agentic AI inside production and engineering environments.
