GoDaddy Launches Node*js Hosting With API Support for AI Coding Tools

GoDaddy has launched a new Node*js Hosting product designed to make it easier for developers and AI coding tools to deploy and manage web applications without relying on a traditional hosting dashboard.

The service allows users to upload an application as a zip file or connect a GitHub repository, after which GoDaddy automatically handles framework detection, dependency installation and deployment. Users can create a private preview first, then connect a domain when they are ready to publish.

Published applications include HTTPS, a content delivery network, a web application firewall and a managed MySQL database. GoDaddy said applications run as persistent Node*js processes, supporting use cases such as background jobs, open connections and in-memory application state.

A key part of the launch is API access. Developers and AI coding agents can create applications, upload source code, manage environment secrets, publish apps and read build or application logs programmatically. Authentication is handled through Personal Access Tokens, allowing automated tools to deploy without repeated manual sign-ins.

The product is also designed around separate preview and production environments, giving developers a way to test changes before making them public.

GoDaddy is positioning the service as part of the infrastructure layer for AI-assisted software development, aiming to reduce the gap between creating an application with AI coding tools and actually getting that application online. Users can create up to two private preview apps for free, while a GoDaddy Web Hosting plan is required for publishing.
