Rockwell Automation’s Plex Platform Helps Country Maid Digitize Production Operations
Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK) announced that baked goods manufacturer Country Maid has selected its Plex Production Monitoring platform to improve real-time visibility and operational efficiency across its manufacturing operations.
Country Maid is using the platform to monitor equipment status, production rates, downtime and other operational metrics. The deployment addresses several challenges, including limited real-time production visibility, the absence of centralized downtime tracking and inconsistencies in production knowledge caused by employee turnover.
Since implementation, Country Maid has digitally connected production equipment and introduced real-time Overall Equipment Effectiveness dashboards, reducing reliance on manual reporting. The company has also deployed virtual display boards for production shifts and improved the accuracy of uptime and downtime tracking.
Country Maid integrated Plex Production Monitoring with Rockwell’s FactoryTalk Batch software to automate production data collection and improve reporting accuracy. The implementation is being supported by Rockwell Automation partners Interstates and Van Meter.
Country Maid plans to expand the Plex platform to additional work centers as it continues its digital transformation.
