German Inflation Accelerates More Than Expected in July
Germany's inflation accelerated more than expected in July, with both monthly and annual consumer price figures coming in above market forecasts, highlighting renewed price pressures in Europe's largest economy.
Consumer prices rose 0.8% month-over-month, exceeding expectations of 0.7% and reversing June's 0.3% decline. On an annual basis, inflation accelerated to 2.8%, above the 2.7% consensus forecast and up from 2.3% in June.
