Alnylam Pharmaceuticals reported new clinical and real-world data supporting its RNAi-based cardiovascular treatments, presented at the American College of Cardiology Annual Scientific Session.

The data showed that vutrisiran improved quality of life and reduced disease progression in patients with transthyretin amyloidosis cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), with benefits observed across different stages of the disease, including advanced cases.

In addition, safety data for zilebesiran, an investigational therapy for hypertension, indicated a favorable profile and potential for long-lasting blood pressure control with infrequent dosing.

The results reinforce the potential of RNA interference (RNAi) therapies to deliver durable and differentiated outcomes in cardiovascular disease, supporting ongoing late-stage clinical development.
