Alnylam expands efforts to improve early diagnosis and care in ATTR-CM
March 24, 2026 — Alnylam Pharmaceuticals announced new strategic initiatives to improve early detection and care coordination for patients with transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), a life-threatening and often underdiagnosed heart condition.
The company is partnering with Viz*ai to develop an AI-enabled care pathway that integrates imaging analysis and electronic health records to help clinicians identify patients earlier and streamline referrals. The initiative includes a multi-site clinical study to evaluate real-world implementation of AI-driven screening tools.
In parallel, Alnylam is supporting a national program with the American Heart Association to improve care systems, bringing together health centers to identify gaps, share best practices, and enhance patient outcomes.
