Garmin Ltd. expanded its Guided Visual Approaches aviation database, adding 15 new approaches and 10 airports including Long Beach and San Jose in California.
The system provides lateral and vertical guidance for pilots during visual approaches at challenging airports, helping stabilize landings and improve safety, especially in areas with difficult terrain or nighttime city lighting.
The update was developed with Hughes Aerospace and is available for purchase through Garmin’s aviation database services for compatible avionics systems.
