Corning (GLW) announced it will license PRIZM® TMT optical ferrule technology from US Conec to expand its AI data center connectivity portfolio.
The technology enables higher fiber density in data centers by using microlens-based expanded beam connections instead of traditional fiber-to-fiber contact, allowing faster installation, greater contamination resistance and improved reliability for large-scale AI networks.
Corning said the addition strengthens its optical connectivity solutions as demand grows for high-capacity networking infrastructure to support increasingly large AI computing clusters.
