Scotiabank (TSX: BNS; NYSE: BNS) and Casa have launched the first Canadian credit card offering no transaction fees on rent payments made through the Casa platform.
Holders of the ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card can use the card to pay rent or condo fees via Casa without the platform’s standard credit card transaction fee and earn 1 Scene+ point per dollar on everyday purchases. Cardholders who spend at least $350 per month also earn 1 Scene+ point per dollar on eligible housing payments.
The Casa platform, developed with major residential owners and operators and covering more than 500,000 units, is expanding nationwide (excluding Quebec) to allow broader rent and condo fee payments by credit card. The initiative aims to modernize housing payments while enhancing rewards for one of Canadians’ largest monthly expenses.
