Pearson and Adobe launch first professional certification for Adobe Firefly
Feb. 24, 2026 — Pearson plc and Adobe Inc. have introduced the first professional certification for Adobe Firefly, aimed at validating generative AI skills in creative workflows.
The new “Product & Experience Design with AI Using Adobe Firefly” certification is designed for creative professionals, educators and students, covering prompt engineering, ethical AI use and practical application of Firefly tools. The exam, developed by Pearson and delivered through its Certiport platform, is available globally and leads to an Adobe Certified Professional digital badge via Credly.
The launch follows growing adoption of generative AI in the creative economy, with Adobe reporting that 86% of global creators now use such tools. The companies said the certification provides employers with a trusted benchmark for job-ready generative AI skills and supports responsible AI integration into creative industries.
