Toyota Motor Corporation has expanded its Pixis Van kei commercial vehicle lineup in Japan with the launch of a new battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, which went on sale on February 2, 2026, as part of its push toward carbon neutrality.

The Pixis Van BEV retains the model’s core strengths for business users, including large cargo capacity and easy loading, while offering quiet, smooth electric driving and a cruising range of 257 km under WLTC testing. Designed for last-mile logistics, the vehicle supports a full day of deliveries and includes rapid charging capability, reaching about 80% charge in roughly 50 minutes at fast chargers.

The BEV system was jointly developed by Suzuki, Daihatsu and Toyota, combining kei-vehicle manufacturing know-how with Toyota’s electrification technology. Equipped with a 36.6 kWh lithium-ion battery, rear-wheel drive eAxle, and a maximum output of 47 kW, the Pixis Van BEV also features external power supply and Vehicle-to-Home compatibility, enabling use as a mobile power source during work or emergencies.

Toyota said the addition of the Pixis Van BEV strengthens support for Japan’s last-mile logistics sector while advancing practical electrification and its broader goal of achieving carbon neutrality.
