Etsy Returns to Growth as Depop Shines and AI Initiatives Gain Traction
Etsy (NYSE: ETSY) reported third-quarter 2025 revenue of $678 million, up 6.1% year over year excluding Reverb, with consolidated GMS rising 0.9% to $2.72 billion. Net income increased to $75.5 million, or $0.63 per share, while adjusted EBITDA reached $171.9 million with a 25.4% margin.
Etsy’s marketplace GMS declined 2.4%, but sequentially improved, supported by stronger ad performance and AI-driven personalization. The company highlighted its new partnership with OpenAI to allow ChatGPT users to shop directly within the platform. Depop posted standout 39% GMS growth, fueled by U.S. and Australian user expansion. Etsy repurchased $120 million of stock and ended the quarter with $1.6 billion in cash.
