Veeva Systems Announces Veeva AI Initiative

Veeva Systems (NYSE: VEEV) has announced a new initiative called Veeva AI, which will introduce artificial intelligence features to the Veeva Vault Platform and all Veeva applications across clinical, regulatory, safety, quality, medical, and commercial functions in the life sciences industry.

Key features of Veeva AI:
- AI Agents: These are application-specific agents built on large language models (LLMs) that can automate tasks by understanding the context within Veeva applications. They are secure, configurable, and can be accessed through chat interfaces or APIs.
- AI Shortcuts: These tools allow end users to set up personal AI automations for recurring tasks such as assisting with workflows, generating insights, or conducting research.
- LLM agnostic: Veeva AI is compatible with most major large language models. Customers can use a Veeva-supplied model or their own, while maintaining full data security.

Peter Gassner, Veeva CEO, stated that generative AI represents a new computing paradigm that will significantly boost productivity. He explained that combining the structured nature of core applications with the language and context understanding of AI can drive major efficiency improvements.

The initial release of Veeva AI is scheduled for December 2025 and will be licensed at the Vault level with a subscription model aimed at encouraging widespread adoption.
