Amgen Expands Ohio Manufacturing Facility with $900 Million Investment and 350 New Jobs
Amgen announced a $900 million expansion of its Ohio manufacturing facility, bringing its total investment in Central Ohio to over $1.4 billion and creating 350 additional new jobs, raising the total number of jobs created to 750. The company initially entered Ohio in 2021 with plans for a state-of-the-art biomanufacturing facility. This expansion supports Amgen's strategy to strengthen U.S. manufacturing capabilities. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine praised Amgen’s continued commitment to the state. The expansion adds to Amgen’s nearly $5 billion in direct U.S. capital expenditures since 2017. The announcement follows Amgen’s recently disclosed $1 billion investment in a second manufacturing plant in North Carolina.
