Cisco announced several innovations at RSA Conference 2025 to strengthen cybersecurity for the AI era. With AI-related security incidents on the rise, Cisco introduced advancements to simplify threat detection, response, and AI risk management.

Cisco launched new features for Cisco XDR, including Instant Attack Verification, which uses agentic AI to create and execute tailored investigation plans, and XDR Storyboard, which visualizes complex attacks for quicker understanding and response. Cisco also announced updates to Splunk Security products, enhancing threat detection and automating workflows.

To secure AI development, Cisco deepened its partnership with ServiceNow, enabling organizations to manage AI risks more effectively. Cisco also introduced Foundation AI, a team focused on creating open-source models and benchmarks to improve cybersecurity. This includes releasing the first open-source reasoning model designed for security applications.

Additionally, Cisco unveiled new supply chain risk management controls to protect enterprises from malicious AI models and vulnerabilities in AI supply chains.

On the industrial side, Cisco enhanced its Industrial Threat Defense solution by integrating vulnerability management and network segmentation tools, improving cybersecurity across operational technology environments.
