Gulfstream G800 Earns FAA and EASA Certification With Enhanced Capabilities
General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) announced that its subsidiary Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has secured both FAA and EASA certifications for its all-new Gulfstream G800, the world’s longest-range business jet.
The aircraft exceeded original performance estimates, now boasting:
- A maximum range of 8,200 nautical miles (15,186 km) at Mach 0.85 — up 200 nm from previous projections
- A high-speed range of 7,000 nm (12,964 km) at Mach 0.90
- An industry-leading speed of Mach 0.935 (previously Mach 0.925)
- Shorter runway requirements: takeoff at 5,812 ft (1,771 m), landing at 3,105 ft (946 m)
The G800 offers exceptional in-flight comfort, including the industry’s lowest cabin altitude, 100% fresh air, and Gulfstream’s signature panoramic windows. It can be configured with up to four living areas or include a dedicated crew compartment.
These performance enhancements are made possible by the Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and Gulfstream’s custom aerodynamic wing design. Customer deliveries are set to begin imminently in the U.S. and Europe.
