Allstate Reports $777 Million in Estimated Catastrophe Losses for May 2025

The Allstate Corporation announced estimated catastrophe losses of $777 million ($614 million after-tax) for May 2025. These losses stem from 11 events, with around 70% attributed to three major wind and hail incidents across wide geographic areas. Combined catastrophe losses for April and May totaled $1.37 billion ($1.08 billion after-tax).

As of May 31, 2025, Allstate had 37.88 million policies in force, reflecting a slight increase from the prior month and year. Notably, auto and homeowners policies each rose by 0.2% month-over-month, while commercial lines saw a 2.2% decline compared to April and a 31.8% drop year-over-year.
