Lam Research Authorizes $25 Billion Share Buyback and Declares Quarterly Dividend
Lam Research (NASDAQ: LRCX) authorized a new $25 billion share repurchase program, significantly expanding its capacity to return capital to shareholders.
The new authorization supplements the remaining balance under Lam’s prior buyback program and has no expiration date. Repurchases may be conducted through open-market purchases, privately negotiated transactions, derivatives or structured repurchase agreements.
Lam also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.33 per share, payable on January 6, 2027, to shareholders of record as of December 2, 2026.
Management said the expanded authorization reflects confidence in Lam’s cash generation and its positioning around major semiconductor technology transitions.
The $25 billion buyback provides substantial capital-return flexibility and reinforces Lam Research’s shareholder return strategy as semiconductor equipment demand remains supported by AI-driven investment and advanced chip manufacturing.
