BD Rises 2.2% as Q4 Growth and Strong Cash Flow Support Fiscal 2027 Outlook
Becton, Dickinson and Company (NYSE: BDX) shares rose about 2.2% after the medical technology company reported solid fourth-quarter growth and strong cash generation following the separation of its former Life Sciences business.
Fourth-quarter revenue increased 5.4% to $5.3 billion, or 5.6% on a currency-neutral basis. Adjusted diluted EPS was $4.15.
For fiscal 2026, revenue rose 4.9% to $19.5 billion, while adjusted EPS reached $12.70. Cash from continuing operations increased 30% to $3.6 billion, and free cash flow jumped 42.5% to $2.9 billion.
BD said growth was broad-based across its key platforms and highlighted its transformation into a more focused MedTech company after completing the spin-off and combination of its former Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business with Waters.
For fiscal 2027, BD expects low-single-digit revenue growth and adjusted EPS of $13.10-$13.30.
The 2.2% share gain appears to reflect resilient fourth-quarter growth, sharply stronger free cash flow and confidence in the earnings profile of the streamlined business, despite relatively modest revenue growth guidance for fiscal 2027.
