Japan Services PMI Improves to 51.7 in October as JGB Yield Falls at Auction
Japan’s S&P Global Services PMI rose to 51.7 in October from 51.3 previously, although it came in slightly below the 52.0 forecast.
Separately, Japan’s 10-year government bond auction cleared at a yield of 2.768%, down from 3.101% at the previous auction.
The combination points to continued services-sector growth alongside lower long-term government borrowing costs at the latest auction.
