Blackstone Closes €13 Billion European Direct Lending Fundraise
Blackstone (NYSE: BX) closed its fourth institutional European direct lending fund, with approximately €13 billion of investable capital across the fund and related European direct lending vehicles.
Blackstone European Senior Direct Lending Fund IV will target European borrowers across the middle and upper-middle market, reflecting continued institutional demand for private credit.
Since the fund’s launch, Blackstone has committed capital to transactions including the €1.0 billion financing for Angelini Pharma’s take-private of Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, as well as deals involving Regnology, Odevo and JTC.
Blackstone Credit & Insurance now has more than 100 investment professionals across five European offices. The firm said private credit remains a significant part of its broader plan to invest in more than $500 billion of European assets by 2035.
The fundraise strengthens Blackstone’s position in European private credit as companies increasingly seek large-scale, flexible financing outside traditional bank lending.
