Arista Networks Jumps 11% Premarket as Q3 Revenue Surges 59% and Q4 Outlook Stays Strong
Arista Networks (NYSE: ANET) shares rose about 11% in premarket trading after the company reported a record third quarter, with revenue growth reaching its fastest pace since the company’s IPO and profitability also hitting new highs.
Third-quarter revenue rose 58.5% year over year to $3.66 billion and increased 20.5% sequentially. The result came well above Arista’s prior guidance of about $3.3 billion, underscoring stronger-than-expected demand across AI, cloud and data center networking.
Profitability remained exceptionally strong. Non-GAAP operating margin reached 49.1%, up from 48.6% a year earlier, while GAAP operating margin expanded to 44.9% from 42.4%. Non-GAAP diluted EPS climbed to $1.20 from $0.77.
AI infrastructure was a central growth driver. Arista introduced new open Ethernet rack-scale architectures developed with partners including AMD, Arm, Broadcom, Meta, Microsoft and Qualcomm, targeting both scale-up and scale-out AI networks.
The company also expanded its networking architecture for distributed AI fabrics, including systems designed to support extremely large accelerator deployments across multiple data centers. Arista said demand across customer groups continues to strengthen as generative and agentic AI infrastructure spending expands.
For the fourth quarter, Arista expects revenue of $3.9 billion to $4.0 billion, implying another sequential increase from Q3. Non-GAAP operating margin is expected at 48%-49%, while non-GAAP diluted EPS is projected at $1.26-$1.30.
The 11% premarket gain appears to reflect the combination of a major revenue beat, accelerating AI networking demand and exceptionally strong margins. With Q3 growth far exceeding prior guidance and Q4 revenue expected to rise further, investors are likely focusing on Arista’s increasing role as a key networking supplier for large-scale AI infrastructure.
