Halliburton Launches AI-Powered Agile Asset Management for Oil and Gas Investment Decisions

Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) introduced Agile Asset Management, a new AI-powered, cloud-based Landmark solution designed to help oil and gas companies evaluate field-development alternatives and accelerate capital investment decisions.

The platform connects subsurface, wells, facilities and economic workflows in a single environment, allowing teams to compare development concepts against corporate metrics and maintain a traceable record of the data and assumptions behind each investment case.

Agile Asset Management also incorporates agentic AI for data retrieval, quality checks and user guidance. Halliburton said the system is intended to reduce the time between initial development concepts and investment decisions while keeping technical analysis and management judgment central to the process.

Aker BP co-developed the solution with Halliburton as part of its effort to reduce time to first oil by 50%. The company said the platform allows teams to evaluate more development alternatives, identify cross-domain risks earlier and maintain an auditable decision-making process.

The system uses an open architecture that can integrate Halliburton software, third-party applications and customer-developed tools, allowing operators to retain existing workflows while coordinating them through a common process.

The launch expands Halliburton’s digital and AI capabilities in upstream planning, with a focus on improving project economics, development speed and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
