CRH Q3 Revenue Rises 3% as Acquisitions Offset Cost Inflation; $6 Billion Buyback Announced

CRH (NYSE: CRH) reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $11.4 billion, up 3% year over year, supported by pricing, resilient underlying demand and contributions from acquisitions.

Adjusted EBITDA was unchanged at $2.7 billion, while adjusted EBITDA margin declined 80 basis points to 23.5%. Net income fell 22% to $1.2 billion, with diluted EPS down 16% to $1.86, primarily reflecting impairment losses and a tougher cost environment.

Management said disciplined commercial execution and performance improvement initiatives helped offset inflation, subdued residential activity and divestiture effects. For the first nine months, revenue increased 5% to $29.5 billion and adjusted EBITDA rose 4% to $5.9 billion.

CRH expects full-year 2026 net income of $3.1 billion-$3.3 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $7.8 billion-$8.0 billion.

The company also announced a new share repurchase program of up to $6 billion through the end of 2030. In addition, CRH completed its $8.5 billion acquisition of Arcosa and invested another $1.9 billion across 27 acquisitions year to date.

CRH introduced its “Velocity” operating-model initiative, which is expected to generate about $400 million of annual run-rate benefits by the end of 2028 through simplification, technology, data and greater operating efficiency.

Overall, the quarter showed resilient top-line growth despite margin pressure, while the Arcosa acquisition, large buyback authorization and Velocity program support CRH’s longer-term growth and profitability strategy.
