Mondelēz Q3 Revenue Rises 2.3% as Volume Growth and Margin Expansion Support Results
Mondelēz International (NASDAQ: MDLZ) reported third-quarter 2026 net revenue of $10.0 billion, up 2.3% year over year, while organic net revenue increased 2.1%. Volume/mix contributed 1.8 percentage points of growth, with pricing adding another 0.3 points.
Adjusted EPS was $0.78, up 5.5% on a constant-currency basis, while reported diluted EPS jumped 78.9% to $1.02. Adjusted operating income increased 17% at constant currency to $1.38 billion, with adjusted operating margin expanding 190 basis points to 13.9%.
Regional performance was mixed. Organic revenue increased 7.7% in Asia, Middle East and Africa and 6.9% in Latin America. North America grew 1.6%, while Europe declined 2.1% despite positive volume/mix, reflecting lower pricing.
Profitability benefited from lower raw-material costs, manufacturing productivity, improved volume/mix and higher pricing. Adjusted gross margin expanded 380 basis points to 34.2%. The company also returned $2.8 billion to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases during the first nine months of 2026.
Mondelēz reaffirmed its full-year outlook for organic net revenue growth of at least 2% and adjusted EPS growth of flat to 5% on a constant-currency basis. Free cash flow is expected to reach approximately $3 billion.
Overall, the quarter showed improving volume trends and meaningful margin recovery, although growth remains uneven across regions and management continues to flag elevated geopolitical, trade, regulatory and commodity-price uncertainty.
