UPS Rises 2.8% as Revenue Growth and Higher 2026 Guidance Boost Investor Confidence

UPS (NYSE: UPS) shares rose about 2.8% after the company reported stronger third-quarter 2026 revenue and raised both its fourth-quarter guidance and full-year outlook.

Consolidated revenue increased 6.7% year over year to $22.9 billion, with growth across all business segments. Adjusted operating profit reached $2.1 billion, while adjusted operating margin was 9.0%.

Adjusted diluted EPS came in at $1.69, compared with GAAP EPS of $1.37. Reported results included $279 million of net charges, mainly related to transformation costs and a goodwill impairment in Supply Chain Solutions.

Management said premium growth and improved network efficiency supported the quarter, with UPS entering the holiday season with what it described as its most automated and efficient network to date.

UPS raised its full-year 2026 outlook to approximately $92.6 billion in revenue, $8.75 billion in adjusted operating profit and $7.28 in adjusted diluted EPS. The company also increased its adjusted free cash flow target to about $6.1 billion.

The 2.8% gain appears to reflect the combination of broad-based revenue growth, improving operating efficiency and a stronger full-year outlook, which outweighed the restructuring and impairment-related charges.
