Shopify Rises 3% as JPMorgan Raises Price Target to $200
Shopify (NYSE: SHOP) shares gained about 3.1% after JPMorgan analyst Bryan Smilek raised the firm’s price target on the stock to $200 from $185 while maintaining an Overweight rating.
The higher target implies additional upside from Shopify’s current trading level near $165 and reflects continued confidence in the company’s growth outlook.
Shopify remains one of the leading global e-commerce platforms, with investors focused on merchant growth, expanding payments penetration, improving operating leverage and the company’s ability to capture a larger share of online retail activity.
The price-target increase adds to positive analyst sentiment around Shopify and appears to be contributing to the stock’s advance on Tuesday.
