Bank of America Retirement Strategy Surpasses $100 Billion in Assets
Bank of America said its Personal Retirement Strategy program has surpassed $100 billion in total assets, highlighting growing demand for personalized retirement planning and workplace investment solutions.
The program is designed for employees participating in institutional 401(k) plans and combines digital planning tools, personalized asset-allocation guidance and professional investment management. Merrill Managed, the discretionary managed-account component of the platform, has now exceeded $10 billion in assets under management.
Bank of America said the growth reflects stronger employee demand for personalized retirement guidance, while employers are increasingly using financial-wellness benefits to support retirement readiness. The company’s 2026 Workplace Benefits Report found that 70% of respondents identified retirement saving as their primary financial goal.
The platform also includes 401k Pay, a retirement-income tool that helps participants estimate sustainable withdrawals, model different scenarios and set up recurring payments after retirement.
The $100 billion milestone strengthens Bank of America’s position in the workplace retirement market and highlights the broader shift toward digitally delivered, personalized wealth-management services inside employer-sponsored retirement plans.
