FIS to Modernize Kredittbanken’s Core Platform With PRIME in the Cloud
FIS announced that Norwegian consumer credit institution Kredittbanken has selected FIS Total Issuing PRIME in the Cloud to modernize the core platform supporting its loans, deposits and credit card operations.
The cloud-based deployment will run on Amazon Web Services and is intended to give Kredittbanken greater scalability, more frequent platform updates and broader API-based integration capabilities. The move is part of the bank’s wider core modernization strategy focused on standardization, reduced complexity and faster product development.
Kredittbanken has used the PRIME platform for more than a decade. The new cloud deployment will provide automated infrastructure upgrades as well as regular innovation and compliance updates, reducing the need for the bank to manage critical infrastructure internally.
Kredittbanken serves a network of 69 Norwegian savings banks and provides consumer credit products including credit cards, refinancing, loans and savings products. FIS said the migration will also help unify customer data across product lines into a single customer view.
The agreement reflects a broader shift among European financial institutions toward managed cloud platforms as banks look to modernize legacy infrastructure, improve digital customer experiences and scale new products more efficiently.
