Samsara Partners With Laval Rocket to Bring Connected Operations Technology to the Ice
Samsara announced its first professional hockey sponsorship through a season-long partnership with the Laval Rocket, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens.
As part of the deal, Samsara-branded Zamboni ice resurfacers at Place Bell will be equipped with the company’s 360 Camera and Vehicle Gateway technology. The systems will give operators a full-view perspective around the machines while also capturing performance data to help the arena crew monitor equipment condition and keep the resurfacers operating efficiently.
The partnership will run throughout the 2026-27 regular season, starting with the Laval Rocket’s home opener on October 2. Samsara is using the sponsorship to showcase the same connected-operations technology it provides to customers across transportation, logistics, construction and other industries.
The agreement also includes fan engagement initiatives, including raffles for first-row seats behind the player bench and opportunities for children to ride an ice resurfacer between periods.
While the deal is primarily a branding and customer-engagement initiative, it also gives Samsara a visible real-world demonstration of its hardware and connected-operations platform in a nontraditional setting.
