Tesla Stock Falls 3.4% as JPMorgan Cuts Price Target to $415

Tesla shares fell 3.4% to $359.43 after JPMorgan lowered its price target on the stock to $415 from $445 while maintaining a Neutral rating.

The revised target still implies roughly 15% upside from the latest share price, but the cut points to a more cautious view on Tesla’s near-term risk-reward profile.

Reasons behind the softer stance might include pressure on vehicle margins, intense competition in the global EV market, uncertainty around demand growth and the large investments required to support Tesla’s AI, autonomy and robotics ambitions.

Investors weighing the gap between expectations for future businesses such as robotaxis and humanoid robots and the current earnings contribution from Tesla’s core automotive operations.

The 3.4% decline suggests the lower JPMorgan target added to concerns around valuation and the pace at which Tesla can convert its longer-term technology initiatives into earnings growth.
