Veeva Launches AI Study Builder Agent to Configure Clinical Studies in as Little as One Day
Veeva Systems (NYSE: VEEV) announced Veeva Study Builder Agent, a new AI solution designed to configure clinical studies directly from a study protocol, potentially reducing study-build timelines to as little as one day.
The agent configures Veeva EDC forms, visits and edit-check rules, as well as CQL-based listings in Veeva DQS. It also automates testing and test-data generation. By reusing an organization’s existing standards and leveraging the CDISC Unified Study Definitions Model, Veeva said the system can produce faster, more consistent and audit-ready study builds.
Study Builder Agent is intended to reduce manual configuration work while limiting deviations from established clinical-data standards. Veeva said the product is part of its broader strategy to simplify, standardize and connect clinical trial operations through AI-driven automation.
The solution is planned for early adopter availability in December 2026, will be included with Veeva EDC at no additional license cost, and will be delivered as a Claude Cowork plugin through a Veeva-managed GitHub repository.
