Lowe’s Launches Drone Delivery With DoorDash and Wing
Lowe’s (NYSE: LOW) launched a drone delivery pilot in Matthews, North Carolina, becoming the first home improvement retailer to offer the service. Customers can order select project essentials through the DoorDash app and have them delivered by Wing drones in as fast as 20 minutes.
The service is designed for small, time-sensitive items that can delay home improvement projects, including hand tools, paint products, tape, cleaners, batteries and other household essentials. Eligible customers will see a “Lowe’s by Drone” option inside DoorDash, while Wing drones currently carry orders weighing about 2.5 pounds per flight.
Lowe’s said the pilot is part of its broader effort to reduce friction in the shopping experience and expand same-day fulfillment options. The initiative also builds on the retailer’s recent technology investments, including its Mylow and Mylow Companion AI assistants, which have answered more than 25 million questions since launching in 2025.
