Uber Expands Costco Delivery Across 47 U.S. States
Uber Technologies (NYSE: UBER) and Costco announced a major expansion of their U.S. partnership, bringing Costco delivery through Uber Eats to 47 states, up from 17. Nearly 600 Costco locations are now available through the platform for on-demand or scheduled delivery.
The expansion significantly increases Uber Eats’ presence in grocery and retail delivery, allowing Costco members to order groceries, household essentials and other products while retaining their Costco member pricing. The partnership also extends Uber’s relationship with one of the largest U.S. retailers as it works to broaden Uber Eats beyond restaurant delivery.
Costco members will receive additional benefits, including 50% off an annual Uber One membership for the first year and 20% off in subsequent years for eligible members. Uber is also offering $100 gift cards for $79.99 at participating Costco locations for a limited period, while consumers can purchase Costco memberships directly through Uber Eats and receive 30% off their first eligible Costco order.
The companies already work together internationally, with Costco available through Uber Eats in Canada, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, France and Spain. The broader U.S. rollout strengthens Uber’s growing grocery and retail marketplace and could increase order frequency by expanding the range of everyday purchases available through its platform.
