Veeva Systems Jumps 8% Premarket as AI Momentum and Strong Q2 Results Lift Outlook
Veeva Systems (NYSE: VEEV) shares are up about 8% in premarket trading after the life sciences software company reported fiscal second-quarter results above its guidance across all key metrics and raised its full-year outlook.
Revenue increased 18% year over year to $928 million, while subscription revenue rose 16% to $766.8 million. Profitability grew even faster, with GAAP operating income jumping 40% to $275 million. Non-GAAP EPS increased to $2.35 from $1.99 a year earlier.
AI and Vault CRM strengthen growth story
Investor enthusiasm also appears tied to Veeva's accelerating AI strategy. Vault CRM recorded its best quarter ever, while the company said development of its Veeva Falcon agentic AI platform is progressing rapidly. Falcon currently has five early adopters and remains on track for initial deployments this year.
Vault CRM adoption continues to expand, with more than 180 customers live and commitments from 12 of the world's top 20 biopharma companies.
Management said its full-year outlook improved across the board. Veeva now expects FY2027 revenue of $3.682 billion-$3.687 billion, non-GAAP operating income of approximately $1.64 billion and non-GAAP EPS of about $9.21.
The 8% premarket rally appears driven by the combination of better-than-guided results, strong subscription growth, expanding margins and growing evidence that Veeva's AI products could become an important new growth engine within its already strong life sciences software franchise.
