# Goldman Sachs (GS) to Acquire NEOS Investments for Up to $2.25 Billion

Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) has agreed to acquire NEOS Investments, expanding its presence in the rapidly growing active and options-based ETF market.

The transaction is valued at up to $2.25 billion in cash and equity, subject to performance and service commitments, and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027 pending regulatory approvals.

## Expanding Goldman Sachs’ ETF Business

NEOS manages approximately $30 billion across 19 options-based income ETFs. Combining NEOS with Goldman Sachs Asset Management and the previously acquired Innovator Capital Management will create a platform overseeing more than $130 billion in ETF assets.

The combined business would make Goldman Sachs the eighth-largest active ETF manager, with around $80 billion in active ETFs.

The acquisition also gives Goldman greater exposure to derivative income ETFs, a fast-growing segment that has reached approximately $180 billion in industry assets under management.

For Goldman Sachs, the deal supports its strategy of expanding asset management and more durable fee-based revenue while strengthening its position in active ETFs, options-based income products and managed-outcome investment strategies.
