Synopsys Expands Physical AI Push as Ansys Integrates NVIDIA Omniverse
Synopsys (NASDAQ: SNPS) is expanding its physical AI and digital twin capabilities through Ansys, which announced an agreement with NVIDIA to embed NVIDIA Omniverse technology directly into its simulation solutions.
The integration will initially focus on Ansys’ computational fluid dynamics and autonomous-system products, giving engineers access to Omniverse capabilities directly within existing simulation workflows. The combination is designed to improve data preparation, interoperability and high-fidelity visualization while accelerating development and validation of autonomous systems.
Using OpenUSD, Ansys customers will be able to connect engineering simulation data with NVIDIA’s virtual-environment technologies. Potential applications include aerodynamics, autonomous vehicles, 6G connectivity and complex digital twins.
The agreement also expands the strategic relationship between Synopsys and NVIDIA around physical AI. Combining Ansys simulation technology with NVIDIA’s Omniverse platform could make it easier for companies to build physics-accurate virtual environments for training, testing and optimizing AI-driven physical systems.
For Synopsys, the integration strengthens the Ansys portfolio following its acquisition and increases the company’s exposure to growing demand for AI-enabled engineering simulation, digital twins and autonomous-system development.
