Airbnb Stock Jumps 9% as Q2 Growth Accelerates and 2026 Outlook Rises

Airbnb (NASDAQ: ABNB) shares jumped about 9% in premarket trading Friday after the company delivered strong second-quarter results and raised its full-year outlook.

Revenue increased 17% year over year to $3.6 billion, while Gross Booking Value rose 16% to $27.2 billion. Nights and Seats Booked increased 10% to 148.3 million. Net income reached $816 million, while adjusted EBITDA climbed 21% to $1.3 billion, producing a 35% margin.

Strong Demand and AI Strategy Support Growth

Airbnb said growth accelerated across both expansion markets and several major core markets, including the U.S., France, UK and Australia. The company also highlighted its AI strategy, saying faster development has helped increase the number of features and improvements shipped this year by nearly 80%.

Beyond accommodations, Airbnb is expanding Services and Experiences. Experiences supply increased nearly 80% year over year, while hotel nights booked grew roughly three times as fast as the company's homes business.

Airbnb Raises Full-Year Outlook

The strongest catalyst for the premarket rally appears to be guidance. Airbnb raised its expectations for both full-year revenue growth and adjusted EBITDA margin. The company now expects 2026 revenue growth of at least the mid-teens and an adjusted EBITDA margin of at least 35.5%. For Q3, Airbnb expects revenue of $4.69 billion to $4.77 billion, representing 15%–17% growth.

The combination of accelerating bookings, strong profitability, AI-driven efficiency and an upgraded full-year outlook appears to be driving the sharp positive reaction in ABNB shares.
