General Dynamics reported strong first-quarter 2026 results, driven by broad-based growth and robust order activity.

Revenue increased 10.3% year-over-year to $13.5 billion, with all four business segments contributing to the expansion. Profitability also improved, as diluted EPS rose 12% to $4.10, while operating margin stood at 10.5%.

The company generated strong cash flow, with $2.2 billion in operating cash—equivalent to 192% of net earnings—highlighting excellent cash conversion. During the quarter, General Dynamics returned capital to shareholders through $405 million in dividends and continued investing in its operations.

Order activity remained a key strength, with total orders reaching $26.6 billion and a solid book-to-bill ratio of 2.0, indicating strong future revenue visibility. The company ended the quarter with a substantial total estimated contract value of $188.4 billion, including a backlog of $130.8 billion.
