The Cigna Group reported strong first-quarter 2026 results and raised its full-year outlook, supported by broad-based growth and improved efficiency.
Total revenue increased 5% year-over-year to $68.5 billion, while net income rose to $1.7 billion, or $6.26 per share, up from $1.3 billion a year earlier. Adjusted income from operations reached $2.1 billion, with adjusted EPS of $7.79, reflecting a 12% increase.
Performance was driven by continued strength in both Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Health Services, alongside disciplined cost management. The company also improved its efficiency, with the adjusted SG&A expense ratio declining to 4.8% from 5.8% a year earlier.
